Office 365 – Working from Home

Due to the COVID-19 situation, a large number of employees have had to resort to working remotely from home, including 3 PRO. It’s important for all of us to be available to our clients and business partners.

We would like to single out three things that allow us to work smoothly: online Teams meetings, email communication, and document collaboration.

Online Meetings within the Teams client

The Teams app helps us to chat and make calls during work hours. Also, it allows us to stay in touch with our clients, which is critical in our line of work.

We’ve been holding online meetings for a long time, as we work with organizations around the world. Thanks to high-quality audio, video, and screen sharing, the app allows us to keep our interaction at a quality level.

Email Communication

Office 365 gives us the possibility to read and answer emails from any location, so there is practically no difference compared to working from the office. Along with calls, email is one of our main channels of communication.

Document Collaboration

If you store your Excel sheets, Word documents and PowerPoint presentations in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint, you can collaborate on them simultaneously with your colleagues. All co-authors must have permission to access and edit the documents, of course. Sharing is easy: the first method is to copy and send a direct link to them, and another way is to click on the Send button to share access via email.

How can we help?

3 PRO can provide:

  • Licenses according to your needs.
  • Implementation and configuration of the Office 365 system.
  • Education for needed services that are part of the Office 365 plan.

We are here to help. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information.

Microsoft Teams Novelties

The Teams app has become the center of today’s team collaboration. It has a ton of features to meet any organization’s business needs. Microsoft listens to their users, and that’s why every month they present new functionalities.

Outlook and Teams integration

From now on, you can share an email conversation with your colleagues by clicking on the “Share to Teams” option inside the Outlook client. This can also include attachments. The opposite is possible as well: sharing a Teams conversation via an Outlook email.

Targeted Communication

Tags help to communicate with a subgroup of people that are part of a team. All you have to do is @mention the tag name in a post. Everyone who is assigned to that specific tag will get a notification.

Pin your apps!

Pin your frequently used apps to the Teams app bar.
Find the wanted app, right-click on it, and select “pin”.

Calling and Meetings: Live captions

Live captions are now generally available for Teams meetings. They transcribe what people are saying in real-time.

It’s an excellent feature for people that have problems with hearing, or for those that are located in loud places, such as airports, etc.

The New Office App for Android and iOS

Microsoft Office apps have been unified into a single one, so you don’t need to have the individual Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps on your mobile device anymore. If you’re subscribed to Office 365 or Microsoft 365, you will also have access to numerous premium features.

One place for all your files and notes.

The app includes templates for creating Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations, and also supports OneDrive cloud storage.

Office App Availability

The app is now generally available worldwide for all Android and iOS phones. At this moment, there is no iPad version, so iPad users still have to use the standalone apps.

Premium Features

To use extra features, you have to own one of these Office 365 subscriptions:

  • Office 365 Personal
  • Office 365 Home
  • Office 365 Business
  • Office 365 Business Premium
  • Office 365 Enterprise E3 and E4 (Enterprise and Government)

Microsoft Productivity Score

The way how people work has changed over the past few years. You probably know the ubiquitous phrase we’ve been hearing about for years – digital transformation. That is what today’s business is all about. The available technology and solutions help us to become more productive.

Microsoft 365 was designed to create a better and more efficient work environment; recently, the tool called Productivity Score was announced. Productivity Score gives insights into how an organization works and shows actions that need to be taken to improve productivity. It’s focused on two areas: technology and employee experience.

The employee experience shows how people collaborate and communicate, how they work from anywhere, and what their meeting culture is like. On the other hand, the technology experience encompasses device optimization and network operation.

Productivity Score Private Preview

Only a private preview version is currently available. For employee experience, you must have an Office 365 commercial plan or a Microsoft 365 subscription, and for technology experience you must have at least 50 Intune or co-managed Windows 10 devices. If you want to try it, feel free to contact us today!

Schedule your meetings with FindTime

Microsoft FindTime

Are you having trouble with arranging meeting appointments? FindTime is a part of the Office family, made especially for the Outlook app, that helps find the right meeting time that suits all the participants.

Allow invitees to vote for suitable times

First, you need to create a new email or select an email to reply to. In the home tab click on Reply with meeting poll, select the dates and a duration.

When all invitees end with voting, the application will determine the most appropriate time based on the results.

Keep in mind!

Your colleagues do not need to install FindTime, they only need an email address and Internet access. Also, you can invite people who don’t use Office 365. Only organizers are required to have an Office 365 account.

The FindTime service is supported in Outlook on the web, Outlook for Windows 2016 version 2016.0.7828.100 and above, and Outlook for Mac 2016.
