3 PRO has released a major update to its SharePoint Send as Email application.

The change is related to the technology platform based on Microsoft Graph, whereas the previous version was based on an Internet Explorer ActiveX component.

It uses Outlook Web App (Webmail) instead of the Outlook Desktop app, and it also supports Chrome, Safari, and other Internet browsers.

The Send As Email application is compatible only with a SharePoint Online + Exchange Online environment (on-prem SharePoint is not supported), and the new version of the application is not available in Office Store (it’s not possible because of the SharePoint Framework exception). From an end-user perspective, the main changes are a new modern UI, the ability to send multiple attachments and to compress them into a .zip file.

What is SP User Redirect?

SP User Redirect is a SharePoint hosted add-in created so you could easily redirect your team members or specific people to a particular internal or external site when they visit certain pages on SharePoint.

How does it work?

You can easily set redirection policies to SharePoint Groups or Users, as well as prioritize your rules. This add-in has many uses; for example, if you have your site configured based on a public/private subsite hierarchy, this add-in can be used when you want your site visitors to be redirected to the public subsite of the main site and the site members to be redirected to a private subsite of the same site. Another usage example is where you have a full report for managers and a reduced report for the workers. After setting up your rules, you can easily create a Report page, add the add-in part to it, and after visiting the page, managers/workers would be redirected to a full/reduced report according to settings. That way all users target the same URL, but receive the results you want them to get.
