Windows Server 2016 includes protection against malicious attacks on your system. In case someone finds a way into your environment, built-in security layers will detect suspicious activities and limit the damage.

  • Protect your Virtual Machines – Shielded Virtual Machines feature encrypts VMs using BitLocker and ensures they run only on healthy hosts
  • Secure Admin Credentials – with Credential Guard and Remote Credential Guard, administrator credentials are safe from Pass-the-Hash attacks
  • Protect the Operating System – Control Flow Guard prevents memory corruption attacks, and protects on-premises or cloud applications
  • Quick Detection – detect malicious behavior using Operation Management Suite Insights & Analytics tools to set up alerts
  • Application Isolation – container-based applications are protected with Hyper-V containers

Be more efficient

Cloud for Business – Seminar Report

cloud-for-business

We organized a free seminar titled Cloud for Business on November 26th, 2015, at the Aristos Hotel in Zagreb. The main goal was to inform the audience about novelties related to cloud computing business solutions, and to show examples on how 3 PRO can help improve businesses and increase user productivity.

At the beginning, Marko Kuntic, the 3 PRO CEO, welcomed all the participants and gave a short introduction.

Tomislav Tipuric, the Microsoft Croatia Partner Technology Strategist, talked about Cloud computing from Server Halls to Services. He compared companies that operate their businesses using the cloud with those that don’t, explained the main difference between private and public cloud environments, and described the segmentation of the Microsoft Cloud offering (infrastructure, platform and apps).

„Cloud computing, also known as on-demand computing, is a kind of Internet-based computing, where shared resources, data and information are provided to computers and other devices on-demand. It is a model for enabling ubiquitous, on-demand access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources.“ – Wikipedia

Hrvoje Kusulja, the 3 PRO COO, spoke about Cloud services and how to utilize them effectively. He elaborated on security measures that are in place for Microsoft Cloud services, data protection, central device management (PCs, tablets, mobile phones) and the advantages of Cloud technologies.

The next topic was Cloud Business Applications, with a focus on customized business solutions and applications that 3 PRO develops for the Dynamics CRM and SharePoint platforms.

The seminar ended with a presentation on how to increase productivity and efficiency, how to be more flexible at work and under what circumstances are Cloud services usually more cost-effective than their classic On-Premises counterparts.

Dear Attendees, thank you all for coming and see you next time on one of our future events!

Why Cloud?

cloud-computing

Cloud computing is a broader term for the delivery of scalable, hosted services through the Internet. It’s a kind of Internet-based computing environment where servers, storage and applications are delivered to computers and mobiles as a service. It’s based on sharing and optimizing computing resources. All data is stored on-line, so users can access it 24/7. All you need is an Internet connection.

In Europe, Cloud computing is still at its beginning. According to a study of the Eurostat, only 19% of enterprises use the Cloud. One of the main reasons why they moved to the Cloud is to reduce costs.

Cloud computing is one of the most outstanding tools that small and medium enterprises can utilize to gain a competitive edge and optimize costs.

Are you in the Cloud?

cloud computing

Advantages

You don’t have to pay somebody to maintain and update your software – everything is the Cloud vendor’s responsibility. There’s no need to purchase applications – it’s much more cost efficient to rent them via the Cloud, with all maintenance fixes and version upgrades included. Desktop software versions are usually more expensive and complex to license and manage. A good example of a Cloud service and application is Microsoft Office 365, which you can buy as an annual subscription. You’re able to choose a subscription plan that fits your exact needs (services, software, or both). Another example is Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online; a cloud suite of applications for managing Customer-related business processes for just a monthly per-user fee.

If you decide to take advantage of the Cloud, you don’t have to invest in a complex on-premises IT infrastructure. Cloud applications are updated and patched regularly, so you don’t have to waste your time and money on worrying about forward and backward compatibility. Cloud computing allows employees access to applications and data via  any of today’s relevant software platforms (Android, iOS, Windows). Without Cloud Services, when something is installed locally on a computer or server, users can usually access the program and content only from that specific computer or network. Therefore, it’s much more flexible and easier to use a Cloud application than to buy a server and all the required server software. The possibility of data loss in the Cloud is very low due to multiple layers of redundancy. Also, because of high-grade security mechanisms that Cloud providers employ, security risks are also minimized when using Cloud Services.

Summary

  • Quick and easy implementation
  • Cost reduction
  • Service flexibility
  • Mobility
