Kad odlučite migrirati poslovanje u oblak, važno je imati na umu da oblak dolazi u tri oblika: javni, privatni te hibridni. No, kako odabrati koji tip oblaka odgovara vašem biznisu? To ovisi o podacima s kojima radite i razinama sigurnosti koje zahtijevate.

Javni oblak

Javni oblak je zapravo dostupan putem Interneta, a koristi se za pružanje usluga poput aplikacija (Software-as-a-Service), kao mjesto za pohranu datoteka, obradu i posluživanje velike količine podataka i sl.

Usluge u javnom oblaku su najčešće povoljne, ponekad i besplatne, a temelje se uglavnom na “plati koliko koristiš” modelu. Optimalne su za većinu korisnika jer se pri korištenju usluga ne moraju brinuti o serverima, infrastrukturi i drugim IT segmentima.

Jedna od najvećih vrijednosti koju pruža javni oblak jest praktički neograničena skalabilnost, a njegove se prednosti posebno ističu u situacijama gdje su potrebne velike količine računalnih resursa u povremenim kraćim vremenskim intervalima.

Privatni oblak

Privatni oblak je onaj gdje se rješenja i infrastruktura nalaze na vlastitoj mreži, u vlasništvu organizacije koja ih koristi.

Kada ga koristiti?

• kad trebate potpunu kontrolu nad svim aspektima okoline
• ako želite maksimalnu fleksibilnost
• ukoliko vaš biznis spada u industriju koja mora zadovoljiti specifičnu regulativu

Ovakav tip oblaka može zahtjevati značajne investicije i najčešće nije opcija koju bismo preporučili malim i srednjim tvrtkama.

Hibridni oblak

Ponekad poslovanje zahtjeva kombinaciju javnog i privatnog oblaka (ili tradicionalnog virtualiziranog IT okruženja), stoga evo par situacija za koje bi hibridno okruženje bilo najbolje rješenje:

• kao Disaster Recovery okolinu koja omogućava replikaciju i oporavak privatnih fizičkih i virtualnih okruženja izravno u javni oblak
• za komunikaciju te interakciju s klijentima možete upotrebljavati javni oblak, a svoje podatke pritom možete čuvati u privatnoj okolini
