Some of the Office 365 plans will change names and become a part of the Microsoft 365 family. The change will happen automatically on April 21, 2020.
New Microsoft 365 offerings for small and medium-sized businesses
In the last few years, Office 365 plans were extended with new apps and services, and more will be added in the upcoming months. That was one of the reasons why Microsoft decided to rename its services.
- Office 365 Business Essentials → Microsoft 365 Business Basic.
- Office 365 Business Premium → Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
- Microsoft 365 Business → Microsoft 365 Business Premium.
- Office 365 Business and Office 365 ProPlus → Microsoft 365 Apps. To distinguish these two, they will have the suffix “for business” and “for enterprise”.
At this time, prices and features will remain the same.
